After a spring rain, water pools in granite formations at City of the Rocks Nature Reserve. This area is often called Silent City of the Rocks. A testament to the solitude and quiet in a place rich in native American and western history but even more fascinating is the landscape itself. Smooth hard granite billions of years old creates a sculpted artistic panorama. It's interesting to think that after a few billion years, I stand on it while trying to do nature justice in an image. |
