Idaho, north, waterfall and autumn leaves in the Kaniksu National Forest, dr190
North Idaho is not famous for autumn color. I'm of the opinion however that beauty is where one finds it. The subtleties of autumn found in areas of conifer forests with the occasional maple, birch and aspen make for wonderful scenes. It's just a matter of taking the time to look or perhaps learning to see. Here a tributary of the Lions Head River flows by some maple leaves that were scattered by wind among the rocks. The touches of red draw the eye while the image still retains the feel of calmness. You can almost hear the flowing cascade. Something to just stop, look at for a little while and enjoy. |
