A thundershower over the south fork of the Owhyee River. This is high desert country in south west Idaho and other than Alaska, this is the most remote county in the US. Some people call this area the big quiet. It’s earned that name for a good reason. Solitude and quiet are the norm. It’s a vast high desert country with veins of deep canyons that have been carved by rivers like the Bruneau and the Owhyee. A few brave white water rafters float the rivers on occasion and even fewer people venture into the rugged desert to see the canyons from above. |
