Hells Canyon and Snake River, Idaho/Oregon border, c27
Hells Canyon is North Americas Deepest River Gorge. Idaho;s Seven Devil Wilderness area is on the East Side and the Snake River is 8000 feet below He Devil Peak in this wilderness. There is enough elevation difference that the climate goes from snow capped peaks to desert like heat. Spring is in April in this remote canyon which is when I made this image. |
