ID/MT border, wildflowers on the Continental Divide Trail, #dt405
Spring comes in June on the Continental Divide Trail in east Idaho. We endured two days of hard rain before reaching this spot. At least the rain made for nice wildflower displays. Desert Paintbrush and Lupine were the most prolific. The cloud- covered sky was like a giant soft light box, which is great for saturated color. Just as I finished making this image, the rains moved in again. |
