UTAH, Brimstone Canyon in Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, #dr196
This is a lesser-known slot canyon in the Escalante National Monument of southern Utah. I walk slowly through these canyons watching the light as it changes and reflects of the sandstone. The direction one is looking can make a big difference depending on the time of day and the angle of the canyon. I walked pass this area and then turned around and looked back, the difference was like night and day. Learning to see is a term often used by artists in all mediums but it takes on special meaning for the photographic artist. |
