Autumn light glows in an aspen tree in the high mountain valley known as the Sawtooth Valley. Winter comes quickly here and autumn is about a brief two weeks in which the aspens leaves seem to glow from the inside. The mountains are in the Sawtooth Wilderness, which is the best known wilderness area in Idaho (217,000 acres), The Sawtooth Mountains are the crown jewels of Idaho's mountain ranges, has forty-two peaks over 10,000 feet in elevation. |
